We would like to thank you for your support since opening our doors in 2016. We have made the difficult decision to close Community Midwives of Ottawa effective January 1, 2024.
This decision was made in an effort to cultivate sustainability for midwifery services to Ottawa families. Members of our team plan to continue providing midwifery care in our region.

Midwifery Collective
Wait lists for every month but spaces do open up. Recent past they were not even full and some months 20-25 people on the list. Increased wait lists on the summer due to vacation.
Midwifery Group
1 space in May and 1 space in June, may have space in July also, August is full, space in September.
Wait lists increased initially when the birth centre opened but they seem to have settled down. This July has a shorter list than most summers.

Midwifery Group of Ottawa has availability for new clients in all upcoming months except March, 2013, where they are full.

“I am a new midwife at the Midwifery Collective of Ottawa and I would be more than happy to take under my care any women that would be seduced by midwifery care. I don’t have any client due in October. The group has also openings for the months of winter. I am a bilingual midwife (I come from France) and I can also understand Spanish and Portuguese.”
